Rachel Ann Newby

I have had the greatest pleasure of working along-side Rachel on two early years projects for Dance Network Association and the Mass Dance Programme.
Rachel has had an extensive and varied number of roles in both a drama and dance capacity within the dance and performing arts sector for over 20 years. She has freelanced in a number of regional companies, notably the Royal Academy of Dance on their Step in to Dance Programme, and delivered training in the education sector on Btech courses at a number of FE colleges and secondary schools. Rachel settled in London where she worked for the English National Ballet for five years within the education department and delivering outreach work across the country engaging with new and developing audiences.
As a freelancer Rachel is busy both with her current tole at Trinity Laban to deliver the children’s programme of creative and contemporary dance classes and delivering essential movement and mobility classes for Epping Forest District Council Mature Movers.
But, if you ask her what her most memorable moment were, she’d say it was when dressing up as a Dolphin, a Dinosaur and a rapping Snake!!
